I’m not a huge sports fan, but every year, that changes for a few months in the summer. Chicago Cubs baseball is a big part of my family, and at every possible opportunity, I’m glued to the set for some fantastic baseball.
Most years aren’t great for us Chicago Cubs fans, and our reputation is certainly less than stellar. After coming off a few winning seasons, things are looking up. True Cubs fans know that it doesn’t really matter–it’s all about watching the game every day, enjoying a hot dog or two, and sitting back in a recliner to talk with friends and family members about baseball.
I got some satellite tv deals, so I’m able to watch every Chicago Cubs games. Some days I’ll skip a viewing, especially when the team’s on a losing streak, but for the most part, I’m right in front of the TV, enjoying the summer sports season.
If baseball went on all year, I probably wouldn’t get anything done. As it stands, I’m happy to be a Cubs fan, and happy to watch a few hours of TV every day during the summer for some fantastic baseball.
